Loveland Ohio

Good Evening, I sold one painting today at the wet paint sale, I also left my business card at the place I'm posting a picture of. I painted this one on the side of the building and did another of the front. Soooo maybe the owner will call me to see them, I hope. This is a 8 X 10 and I framed it in a gold plein air frame. The one I sold was the last one I posted, the church steeple. Going to meet with my vet tomorrow and show her some paintings, when I was there last week with my cat I noticed they don't have anything on the walls in their new building. I think they need some art, don't you? Always working it, lol. See you soon

Church Steeple

Good Morning, I'm participating in an event called paint the town in a little town not far from here. This year it lasts ten days and you paint in and around the town and on the final day they have a wet paint sale. Here is one of the paintings I completed, it's a 5 X 7. I have two others mostly done. It's been hot, hot, hot with lots of bugs . Hopefully I'll sell something, if not I tried. I've decided to take a break from my lessons just felt like time. Might go back in the fall or try some different things, I still plan to paint like crazy and that's what counts most.

Walk in the park

Good Morning, I found this man walking his dog in the park, ran after him and took his picture. With my nifty new camera he didn't even know that I took it, just call me Bond, James Bond. I'll think of a new spy name later to suit me. Have a great day.

2nd Plein air painting- 8 X 10

Here is the other painting I mentioned in the last post. I painted this one and the last one a few days ago. I have been loving my new camera, I can zoom in on people and they don't even know I'm taking their picture. I've become a peeping tom, lol.

Plein air painting

Hi, I did this a few days ago. I met a group and painted plein air. Beautiful weather but lots of cicadas, don't know if I spelled that correctly. Big ugly bugs that like to land on you, they have big orange eyes and they're creepy. I did two that day, this is a little one a 5 X 7. I'll post the other one soon. See you soon, watch out for those big creepy bugs.

Walking the Dog

Hello, Painted this one yesterday, it's painted in oils on a 8 X 10 canvas board. Just got in from plein air painting, such pretty weather. I live right in front of a park so I take my camera on my walks always on the look out for things to paint. Legs and dogs are my subject of interest right now, that may change. Enjoy your day.

Art in the garden

Just got back from Art in the garden, an event they have yearly in the area where I live. People purchase tickets to tour gardens and artists are there displaying their art and painting. Turn out was fair but the weather was great. I had a nice time and sold four paintings. Here is a photo of two of my screens, I had one more and a table. My sweet husband made these for me, I'll be using them again later this week for another event. Tired and hungry, off to find food.

Beagle, 2nd posting same day

Hey again, Are you impressed, two postings in one day. I just painted this little guy and I thought I'd go ahead and throw it on. I had fun painting him, maybe I should do more animals. It's a 6 X 8, oil on a canvas panel. See you soon.

My Dad and one of his crazy pipes

Hi, I painted this from a photo of my Dad. Taken when he was younger with this crazy pipe in his mouth. He collected pipes. Back when I was a kid I thought it was disgusting watching him clean them out but when he passed away we all wanted one and now I love it because it makes me think of him. This came out too serious, that wasn't his personality. He was the life of the party, telling endless jokes. Saturday is the art in the garden, I'll be selling my art out in a garden. They're talking rain, I hope they are wrong because that will ruin the event. Happy painting!

Sweet Little Face

Hi there, This is loosely based on a photo of my niece, she does look like a little doll in it. It was fun to paint, it's in oil on a 8 X 10 canvas board. This is the first photo taken with my new camera, a test run. Just click on the photo and check it out, amazing. Enjoy your day!

Grandson, oil 6 X 8

I painted this little painting in about an hour, not sure if I'm going to leave it as is. This is Josh, one of three grandsons. It's painted from a photo, he's standing in a shallow creek with a baby raccoon sniffing his shoe. Yes, the raccoon was actually there????

Trying to be loose

Hi there, I painted this yesterday. I recently purchased a dvd of Craig Nelson doing what he calls quick studies from Creative Catalyst Productions. He does two paintings, one is a still life and the other is from a photo. He paints each of them in about an hour and keeps things pretty loose. I tried to use some of his advice when I painted this. Different for me, a lot looser than I would normally do. I think I like it, do you? Also I did purchase a new camera, yeah! Haven't received it yet, it's a Canon, it's 8 mega pixels. Now I just have to figure out how to use it, lol.
