Four more paintings from Paint the town

The week is over, it was great. I painted in town several days and then Saturday I set up in someone's garden for the day. On Sunday we had a showing of our paintings from the event. I sold three small ones and the huge 8 X 10 I did, lol. Also we get to hang several in a restaurant in town for 6 weeks. So I did manage to paint eleven not twelve small ones, hey I tried, lol. The top one is the one from the private garden I set up in, it was amazing.

Paint the town, yet another one

Hi, Here is a church steeple in Loveland, Oh. I painted this last year during Paint the town and liked it so here it is again. This is oil on a 5 X 7 panel. Tomorrow I am doing Art in the Garden in Loveland and then Sunday is the sale for all of our work we did for Paint the town. Shocked and saddened to hear about Michael Jackson as I'm sure all of you were. So young. I feel most for his family and young children. Life is sooo unpredictable. Enjoy your day!

A big one

Hi, I decided to paint a big one, lol. 8 X 10 seemed large compared to the 5 X 7's I have been doing. This is for paint the town though. I painted there today, first official day. Wow, it was hot. I did complete two little ones on site, one of the house paintings I did today I think the owner may buy. On Sunday we have a two hour paint sale and on Saturday I am painting in a garden in the same town for something called Art in the Garden.

Paint the town, #5

Hi there, This little place in Loveland is called The Blue Chip Cookie Company. Interesting place, if you look close you can see their little chef in front that they call Bob, lol. I photographed this one framed so you could see what the frames looked like that I am using on all of them. Simple but wonderful quality, from Franken Frames. This is oil on a 5 X 7 panel. Busy time of the year, Monday I am hanging art in a coffee shop for the month. Paint the town starts the same day and runs all week and then next Saturday I am doing an event called Art in the Garden. Happy Fathers day to all.

Paint the town, #4

Hi there, Well, here is another one for Paint the town. In Loveland, Ohio where the event is held there is a bike trail that runs right through town so things are pretty busy there especially on the weekends. This is oil on a 5 X 7 panel. Tonight I am doing a thing at a community college near here, we set up a gallery in one of the rooms and we will be painting on site. The weather isn't great though so who knows if anyone will show or not. That's the way it goes :)

Paint the town, #2

Hello, Well here is another one for the paint the town event I am doing. This is also in oil on a 5 X 7 canvas panel, fairly complicated scene. I hope it reads right, I really tried to get my values correct. The frames I ordered for these are simple gold frames. I have been busy framing and getting ready for a thing I do at a local community college each year, a group of artists set up our art and we demo during the event. That is next Friday evening, hopefully I will sell a few things. Have a great day!

Paint the town

Hi there, I will be doing an event in a couple of weeks in a town close to here. The event is called paint the town and it is in Loveland, Ohio. I purchased 12 custom frames from Franken Frames. I plan to fill all of these frames, they are 5 X 7. This isn't a plein air event so they don't care if you paint at home or there but I do want to paint in town several times during the week, be visible and talk up the wet paint sale on the last day. So this is one of the little gems, I hope to have maybe 7 painted before the event starts and then paint the rest on site. My "great" idea is to paint small and be able to sell reasonable, hope it works. I'll post them as I finish them. Have a great day! SOLD

My great nephew

Hi there,  Wow, this makes me sound old,  my great nephew.  This is my nieces son Landen,  who am I kidding I am a grandmother after all.  I feel young,  does that count? lol.  This is oil on a 8 X 10 canvas panel,  I took the photograph of him on Easter.  See you soon
