At the Fair

Hi, I painted this a few weeks back from a photo my daughter had taken at the fair. A loose impressionistic version of her photo with my red headed grandson and his friend in the seat on the left. The faces are tiny and I didn't want too much detail in them. This is oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas.

The weather is soooo hot, in the 90's all week. Some of my group is painting out tomorrow evening, hoping to avoid the heat of the day if that's possible. So we are meeting at 7 in the evening, I told them to bring lots of water to drink. Soon enough I will be back to complaining about the cold, lol.

If you wish to receive an email when I do a new post on my blog please enter your email in the google group square on the left.

This is a fun piece Barb...kids and the fair! Nice use of color and I like the high key in your painting. :)

Thank you Debra, I tried to suggest movement with loose strokes, hope it reads that way. Glad you like it.

Thanks Josh, They always photograph a bit different than they really look. It looks a bit grayer on here than in person. I liked the composition too, I thought your eye followed it left to right.
