"Banana Split Anyone?"
Hi there, I was trying to come up with a clever name, I'm so boring, lol. It was going to be "Bananas and Cherries" and I thought this was cuter. This is acrylic on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas, my favorite size or it must be because most of my paintings are that size. I think this is the first time I have painted bananas and had a great time doing it. Please take time to comment, I love hearing from you.

Still life painting at Pops
Hi there, Every third Thursday of the month Pop Revolution a local gallery has open painting. Most weeks they have models but once in a while they set up a still life. This was painted a while back, they set up a very elaborate still life with a music theme. I painted a small section of the set up so I could finish in the 3 hours provided. Experience told me to keep it simple so I wouldn't get overwhelmed. This is acrylic on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas. It is always a fun challenge to paint glass. Most people in the group sketch but I always bring my paints along, much more fun for me. So great of you to stop by.

Old Crock & Cherries
Hi, sorry if this isn't perfectly clear, I had issues, lol. I purchased this crock recently, I did not need another crock but look at it! hehe I loved it, it has a kind of bell shape and I loved the little spout. This is acrylic on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas. Heading out tonight to paint a live model, always a great challenge. Wow this heat is terrible, I hope you are staying cool wherever you are. Thank you for visiting me.

Lovely Poppies
Hello, Poppies are my favorite flower to paint, well I think so anyway. Well today anyway, lol This is the Golden Fluid acrylics on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas. Played around with a kind of abstract background first and then laid in the poppies. I added those brighter highlights at the end focusing on just a few. Please take time to enlarge the photo by clicking on it, the colors are brighter and truer to life.
Tomorrow night is Second Saturday at Gallery 42 in Mason Ohio. I will be there, if you are in the area stop by. Hours are 5-9. I have several paintings exhibited there, excited to join a wonderful group of fine artists.
Have a wonderful day friends.

Loveland Ohio
Hi there, I have had a busy week so I haven't painted much or posted just lately. The 4th of July holiday was this past week and I had company staying with me for a few days. I am ready to paint something, maybe today's the day, lol. I painted this last Thursday night in Loveland Ohio, a very sweet town not too far off. Southwestern Ohio Plein Air Society was there to paint and I decided to join them. I sat up in front of the Historical Society and painted their gazebo. I painted about 2 1/2 hours until I got tired of the flys biting me, insect repellent does not stop them. I say plein air is not for wimps and if you do it you know what I mean. This is acrylic on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas. I simplified the details and I think I like it.
Thank you for visiting me and have a wonderful day.

Orange Lilies
Hello there, We have these gorgeous orange lilies blooming everywhere right now, all along the road growing wild. I have always called them Tiger Lilies, not sure if that is correct but I think my mother called them that, so it must be right, lol. I recently purchased some new products to play with, the first is Liquitex Pouring Medium. You mix the pouring medium with fluid acrylic to tint it and I poured them on a canvas and tilted the canvas every which way. I ended up with a colorful glossy abstract painting, fun. I also purchased Golden Fluid acrylics, started with the primary colors. I am playing around with those also, they are thin but have a lot of pigment in them. I painted this with the Golden Fluid acrylics, 8" x 10" stretched canvas. I never get tired of trying new things.
Good to see you, have a wonderful day.
