Azaleas

Hi there!  I painted this yesterday. One of the gals in my new Tuesday group brought in this gorgeous azalea to paint.  Most of the group painted it from different directions.  It's fun at the end to see everyone's version of the same subject.  This is acrylic on a 8" x 10" canvas.

Seagulls

Hi there! Did I spell seagull right? Is it one word or two?  Anyway they are such fun to paint.  One is painted on a 4" x 4" panel and the other is a 8" x 10" stretched canvas. Both are acrylic, no surprise there I guess.  

Today is the first day of Spring, woo hoo!  It has been a long long winter, I hope we are rewarded with a beautiful long Spring.

Koi Fish

Hi there!  Painted this in acrylics on a 10" x 10" canvas, I like square paintings.  Had fun and added a swirled pattern and stenciled a few metallic circle patterns also, not sure you can see them. 

I have been accepted into a group called The Brush and Palette Painters. A group that has been together for 50 years and were formerly called The Brushettes. It is a honor to be asked to join,  a very well respected group filled with lots of professional artists.  I start Tuesday, excited and a little nervous.

I love purple

Hi Friends, Purple is my favorite color and I just love painting with it. Actually a bit of purple works well in almost any painting. This 10" x 10" painting was done in acrylics in my fun wet into wet style. 

Busy painting coy fish right now, always trying something new.

Finished

Hi there, well I think this is finished, signed but not varnished. This is 16" x 20" on a deep canvas and it is acrylics. Do you see anything that bothers you? I will have to come up with a title too, that can be really tough sometimes.  Some people are so creative with titles,  I do things like "Pears" lol 

We have another big snow coming in tomorrow night but I feel it will be our last of the season. Positive thinking.
