Commission

Hi, this is a commission that I just finished, always such a relief when you get that final okey dokey from the client, she loves it.  I do not paint a lot of portraits but this little girl is so beautiful it was a pleasure to paint.  This is oil on a 8" X 10" canvas. 

This Saturday I will be at Northminster Fine Art show from 10-3, if you live in the Cincinnati area you should come by, great show, great art and great food.  Compton Rd. In Forest Park at Northminster Presbyterian. 

Tiny Ones

Hi there, I frequently paint these little 4" X 4" paintings,  it's a good thing to keep me busy when I don't have anything else going on.  They sell well at my shows, I think everyone has room for a little painting somewhere.  The wren is framed in a custom frame from Franken Frame, I just love dealing with them.

Updated version

Hi! I reworked the painting I posted last and thought I would share the new version with you.  I added a lot of texture in the grass and cleaned up the sky.  Hopefully I improved it, sometimes you don't. I heard a great quote last night from Susan Carlin "why paint just enough when you can paint too much". Don't you love it? Lol  really I think I am happy with it and thank you for visiting me,

I am still around

Hi Friends, I am so sorry I haven't been posting just lately.  I have been very busy with shows, the holidays and I am working on a commission.  This one may need a little tweaking but I wanted to post something to show I have been working.  This is a 16" X 20" stretched canvas and will probably hang in a show I have the month of March.  Working on a portrait of a beautiful little girl and her dog, I will share that soon. I hope everyone is staying warm.  Spring is right around the corner,  well maybe not, lol.  Hugs
