Landscape
Hi Friends! I gave myself a specific task with this one. I toned the canvas first which I rarely do but should. I toned it with burnt sienna, I really like to use a warm tone when I am outside painting all those greens. After I toned I worked with larger bristle brushes to block in my large shapes. I then switched to softer brushes to lay the details on top. I'm pleased with it, I really like seeing the burnt sienna peeking through everywhere.

Love old houses
Hi there! Sorry I haven't posted lately, no good excuse. This is a recent painting that I did from one of my reference photos. This is oil on a 8" X 10" canvas. Although I love to paint everything old houses hold a special place in my heart. I am considering painting this one on a much larger canvas.

Tiny works of art
Hi there! Something a little different here. I painted these little necklaces and it was such fun. They are painted on 1 1/2" hand turned wood disks and sealed with three coats of varnish. I attached antique brass hangers that are lead free and then added black cords to hang them from. Doubled the cord measure 12" so they hang fairly long. I am offering four different ones this time although the group photos show others. I am offering them for $25 plus $5 shipping anywhere within the continental US. One is called "Sunflower", one is Van Goghs "Starry Night" , one is a "Landscape" and the mother and child is from a painting by "Potthast" you can purchase them through PayPal with a buy now option. Email me with any questions. Most are signed on the back because of the size and are all dated. Have a wonderful day.

Landscape
Hi! Another landscape painted with a knife. This is oil on a 11" X 14" canvas. I jump around a lot on subjects as you can tell and I'm always willing to try anything new but these new knifes have been kind of life changing. I love the painterly look you get with them and it feels so good to push the paint around. Have a wonderful day.

Still life
I really enjoy painting still lifes. Always a good challenge I think. This one I set up for both of my groups last week. This is oil on a 8" X 10" stretched canvas, sorry there is a bit of glare.

Two new landscapes
Hi! Both of these landscapes are oil on 8 X 10" canvases. Both were painted with a flexible rubber spatula kind of thing, like using a fexible palette knife. I am having just the best time using this new tool. I will try to upload a photo of the knifes also. Give them a try, so much fun.
