Hi, I copied this painting of Edward Potthasts. I love his children on the beach paintings. A few years ago at the Cincinnati art museum I copied one of the two they have of his. I just looked at his image and freehanded it so things may be off as it wasn't my intention to reproduce it exactly. This is oil on a 14 X 18 stretched canvas. I have a show in a few weeks so I plan to frame it and take it along but if you are interested in it contact me. Have a great day!

How lovely are these little girls dressed in white! A loving caring scene! One day, because of you, Barbara,I am going to work in a softly-blurred style!
My gosh Barbara but I've been away too long! This is gorgeous and you've done the original proud. Great still lifes and the Susan Carlin one is just perfect! Gorman's farm is another Barbara Pask building special!
Hi Marie, So glad you like it. I do try to paint in an impressionistic style and keep things soft. I think most of us seem to have a certain style and I do like grayed colors. Have to admit my photography isn't the best though, lol. I always feel my paintings look better in person.
Hi there Liz, I have missed you and your sweet comments. I love checking in on you, you are a busy gal too. :)
I love, love, love it! It is right in keeping with your soft impressionist style! If this doesn't sell before the show, it's going to be one of the first off the wall! Unless you were "set up" in front of it, that you could freehand something hanging in a museum is amazing to me! Ed P. is tipping his halo to you!
Thank you so very much Rosemary, means a lot to me that you feel that way. It was fun to paint and I guess his style does kind of fit with the way I like to paint. Thanks again.
BEAUTIFUL!! I wonder Barb, if you would do a pet portrait?
Let me know...
XOXO
Joni
Hi Joni, Thank you so much. I paint everything, I'll email you very soon.
Hi Barb, I'm looking forward to your next ones. My blog got taken over by a virus and since I'm not computer literate, here is my new one http://www.sandrawsartblog.blogspot.com/
Hi Sandra, That is scary, didn't know that could happen. Guess I have been lucky so far. Take care
Love the way you handled this one Barbara... the girls are beautiful and you did an awesome job!
This piece came out very nice. I think you should go to the beach and do some more, seems inspirational for you.
Thanks so much Candy, so nice to see you.
I think so too Bill. Wouldn't be a bad job hanging out at the beach even if nothing good showed up to paint.
love your style!! keep up the fantastic pieces of art barbara
Thank you so much Ann, I appreciate your visit and nice comment.
