Pink Geraniums
Hello Friends, I was at the store a few days ago and they had a nice display of potted flowers out. I grabbed up all of the little pots of these wonderful pink geraniums. I wanted to keep the background very loose with a wash of color so the focus would be the flowers. I set up three little pots and here is my finished painting. Please enlarge the painting to view it, the colors are much more true for some reason. This is acrylic on a 11" x 14" stretched canvas. My group Mason Area Painters will be having a month long show in June called The Language of Flowers, I may put this one in the show.
Please check out some of my paintings on Ebay
Hope you enjoy seeing my painting, please take time to comment. Enter your email in my Google Group box to receive my posts. Have a wonderful day

Sunflowers & Postcards
Hi there, This painting is a mixed media piece. I first attached acid free paper that has old postcards printed on it, I cut it up and added sections to it with gel medium. I set up my sunflowers and painted them with acrylic, adding a few splatters at the end. I added a cropped photo of the painting
so you can see some of the background. I always love painting sunflowers, I tried to make these very interesting adding different shades of yellow and oranges. This is painted on a 11 x 14 stretched canvas. I can't wait until I can go out into my yard and cut some fresh flowers to paint. Spring is almost here, I sure hope so anyway, lol.
I hope you are enjoying your day. :)
