Home Sweet Home

Hi, I just love old houses like this, don't know why I don't paint them more often. I like this panoramic view , this canvas measures 10" x 20". This photograph was pure luck, the house sets on a busy highway and my husband opened his window because it was on his side and I took it at just the right moment shooting by in the car. Enjoy your day!

Church Steeple

Hi, This is another painting from my Paint the Town series. I am selling it here on my blog for $50 plus $5 shipping. This is a oil painting on a 5 X 7 panel and framed in a custom gold frame from Franken Frame. I ship only within the continental US. A sweet little painting for a small spot.

Paintings from Paint the Town

Hi, I recently did a event called Paint the town. I will be posting the paintings that didn't sell here on my blog periodically with a buy it now option. The payment is through paypal and I ship only within the continental US. I sold the framed paintings during the event for $60 but you can buy them on my blog for $50 plus $5 shipping. They are oil on 5X7 panels and varnished with Soluvar varnish. The frames are custom frames from Franken Frames. Sweet little paintings that fit in a small spot. The first one is a sweet yellow house, I laid some of the paint on a bit heavy so it has nice texture. Thanks!

Her Father's Eyes

Hi, I am entering this piece and the previous one of the street performer in a juried show for August. I threw around a lot of names for this one but even though you can only see one of her eyes really well I think the name will make you stop and take a good look at her. This is oil on a 11 X 14 Raymar panel. The show isn't actually until September but of course you have to enter early. I wanted her to be painterly and interesting, hopefully she is. I named the previous one Singing the Blues.

Street performer #2

Well I worked on this again today and maybe it is done, hmmm. May be too much yellow in the background, not sure. I worked on the hat and added more color to his face. I am liking it better, hope you do. Appreciate your input on his progress.

Street performer

Hi, I have been working on this for a while and I think I may be finished. This is oil on a 11 X 14 canvas panel. I may enter this one in a local juried show in August. Do you like it? Do you see anything you would change? I turned the canvas on the side and felt it gave it a more casual feel and the microphone leads you right to his face. Appreciate your input. :)

I just wanted to add that after posting the photo I see some things to change. The hat goes back too far in the back and looks flat and the brim is too large and a bit hard edged. Things really stand out when you take a photo and view in on your computer. Do you agree with my assessment?

Portrait

Hello, This oil painting was done from a image taken from Wetcanvas. This is oil on a 8 X 10 canvas panel. Tried to make her face colorful. I have several paintings going at once, working on some things for a juried show in August. Have a good day

Sweet little painting

Hi, This tiny painting measures 2 1/2 X 3 1/2, framed it measures about 6 1/2 X 7 1/2. This frame is a custom frame from Franken Frame, solid wood, gold leafed and American made. This is oil and sealed with Soluvar varnish. Lots of great texture in this.
