Cow

I loved painting this, nothing like a cute cow portrait. This is 12" x 12" on a stretched canvas. This is painted in acrylics and I have a black frame for it.

Busy busy getting ready for a show at Northminster Presbyterian Church this next Saturday, it is a wonderful juried fine art show and I am so happy to be included. Worried a bit about the weather, it's been one of the worse winters we have had in years.

Great of you to stop by, stay warm.

Sunflowers

Hello, this one is acrylics on a 10" x 10" stretched canvas. It will be varnished glossy and wired to hang with no frame.  I was thinking the other day that I don't think I have painted with oils in probably a year and a half, I just don't miss them. There are so many wonderful things you can do acrylics and so many advantages compared to oil. Most of the oils I painted were wet into wet, I am not a patient person, lol.  I can layer and layer with the acrylics without much drying time. I think when you learn how to paint you can work in most mediums. Edges are such an important part of painting maybe the most important, actually composition, values and then edges I think.  I am so blessed to pursue my passion of painting, I love my life.

Thank you for checking in on me.

Glossy Finish

Hi there! I thought I would photograph one of my little paintings straight on and off to the side so you can see how glossy they are. When I started painting this wet into wet one of the things I liked was how glossy the paintings looked while wet. I varnish them with two coats of gloss varnish to bring back that richness they have while wet. They somewhat have the appearance of ceramic tiles??  This little one is 4" x 4" framed in this white frame.

This Tuesday night from 6-8 we have an opening at Sinclair Community College in Mason Ohio. The campus is on Courseview Dr.. please stop by if you are out that way, there will be music, snacks and awards are at 7:00.  The show is called "Winter" and will hang until the end of March.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Little Paintings

Hi there! I have been busy getting paintings together for my new co-op and the show I am doing February 1st. I have been painting a lot of small ones as they are more affordable, hoping that will help them to sell.  There is quite a bit of glare on these but you get the idea. One is 3" x 3" and the other is 4" x 4" . Tiny and fun to paint.

Thanks for visiting, it means a lot to me.

Larger abstract floral

Hi there, this acrylic painting was done on a 20" x 20" deep canvas so it will not be framed. Fun to do this process on a larger canvas but you have to work quickly.  I put two coats of gloss varnish on it because I love the way it looks very wet so I wanted to re-capture that look.

I hope everyone is staying safe and warm, we have had quite the winter and it isn't over.

Thanks for stopping by!

Black and White Cat

Hello there, I painted this kitty in my new loose style, letting the paint run around on the canvas. This is only 4" x 4" and is painted on a deep 1 1/2" canvas. These little canvases look so cute sitting on a shelf. I am working on small paintings for a upcoming show and the new co-op I am going into. I hung my space today at our new co-op. The co-op is here in Mason Ohio next to Pop Revolution Gallery. We are still looking for a few people to join us, there will be 24 when we are full. Please ignore the first photo, I am trying some new things with my ipad.
