Oil , 16 X 20- Working on a name

Hi there, I painted this over the weekend, did a few touches to it last night and I think I'm finished. This may be one I enter into that juried show, I think I'm pretty happy with it. I should have taken progress pictures, I keep meaning to do that. Any ideas for possible names? I thought about Collectibles or Old Things...

Pink Blooms - Again with improvements???

Hello, Check this out and compare it to my last posting, same painting but I worked on it some more. I put it on Wetcanvas for some feedback, you get a variety of suggestions. Some people thought it looked great as is, some wanted me to change things I don't want to change. Anyway, I put the handle on the pink pitcher on the other side so it was leading you into the painting. Duh, I know that, don't know why I didn't do that the first time. Also as you can see I added some peaches, I felt it needed some other element. Well let me know what you think, still not sure if it's finished yet. Just don't tell me it looked better before, lol. Thanks so much, Barb

Pink Blooms, Oil 16 X 20

Hi, This is a large painting for me, 16 X 20. Not quite sure if I'm finished with it yet, I'm going to be doing several this size and then eventually pick two for a juried show. I use an Analogous color wheel to help me and I put a few touches of the discord color it suggested on the pink pitcher. The discord color is supposed to pull your eye there. It's a nice tool, you can check it out at www.artvideo.com Have a good day. Barb

One of the miniatures framed

Thought I'd show you one of my tiny paintings framed. The canvas is 3" X 4". This is a 2" wood frame. Some people probably would probably find it aggravating to paint small but I typically paint on a 8 X 10 canvas so the adjustment wasn't too bad.

First Two Miniatures 3" X 4"

Hi, I just completed my first two miniatures, they only measure 3" X 4". Anyway I tried to treat them as I would any other size painting though I did try to paint things that would show up, subject and color. I ordered very nice gold frames from Franken Frames, you can custom order any size I think. I had fun painting them, I completed two fairly quickly. Sorry my images are a bit blurry, I'm working on it. Barb

Spring Blooms, Oil 8 X 10

I painted this yesterday at my lesson, came home and added the grapes. So happy to see spring flowers, I cut these from a forsythia bush blooming in my front yard. I'm going to try to paint some minatures , I ordered ten 3 X 4 frames. I thought they'd be nice for a couple of the events I'm doing this summer. I sure hope I like painting them, I'll have to really put some thought into painting things that show up that small. Bye for now. Barb

Another Landscape, oil 8 X 10

Hello there, I painted another landscape yesterday when I joined my Monday morning painting group. Another cloudy sky like the last painting, like painting those clouds. Spring is finally arriving here in Ohio, flowers are in bloom. I'll probably venture outside before too long to paint. Have a good day. Barb

Silver & Pear, Oil 6 X 8

I painted this last night on a 6 X 8 Raymar panel. I just purchased this silver gravy boat last week when we were out antique shopping. I recently bought a book Color Recipes by Helen Van Wyk, I used her formula for the silver. Pretty good book, she covers still life, portraits and landscape painting, she has since passed away. I always like hearing from you. Have a wonderful day. Barb
