Flowers in Silver, Oil 8 X 10
Good Morning, I haven't posted in a few days. I have been painting I've just been a bad girl about posting, sorry. This painting I did Monday morning, silver pitcher with flowers on a flowered tablecloth on a 8 X 10 canvas board. I hung my art in Kidd coffee last night, it's a coffee shop close to here. I'll be there two months, it gets some of it out of my studio for a while if nothing else. A hospital they're building in the area is going to purchase 300-400 pieces of art from local artists so I may submit something and see what happens. Thanks for visiting. Barb

Tulips, Oil 6 X 8
Hello, I did this painting on a 6 X 8 RayMar panel. My first tulips, I used a gray green for the crock. Love those grayed colors. Do you think the bowl should be a different color? I like the dark background and the crock and tulips but I thought maybe the bowl should be darker???? Appreciate your input. Have a great day! Barb

Lillies again
Hi, Actually I do paint things other than these pink lillies, I just happened to post three of them in a row. I did this painting this morning and I think it came out well. I painted the pattern in the tablecloth and I like the looseness of the pots. I'm going to be hanging my art in a Kidds' coffee for two months starting 1st of March. Don't know it will generate any sales but I guess it's good exposure. Who knows???? Have a great day and happy painting. Barb SOLD

Pink Lillies, Oil 6 X 8
Hi there, I ordered ten of these 6 X 8 RayMar panels, first time I've used them. This is my first painting on one. I'm going to try listing a few of these unframed on Ebay and see what happens. I noticed other artists seem to have good luck with this, who knows?? I like this little still life with the pink lilles in the little pitcher. RayMar carries these panels and they also have canvas carriers, I bought one of those too. Check them out here.

Pink Lillies, Oil 8 X 10
Good Morning, I completed this painting yesterday so excuse the glare. Think I'm pretty pleased with this, nice dark background and I think I put the focus on the lillies. I'm not saying it's a perfect painting but I felt good when I completed it. That's all I want, lol. Don't we all? Let me know what you think. Happy painting. Barb

Antiques, Ironstone, clock and shoe molds, Oil
I purchased this little clock off of Ebay for a still life prop, I'll be painting it a lot. This is a bit different for me, the background color and the first time to try to paint lace. I also painted refections of the ironstone pitcher. I wasn't sure I liked the color of the background but I thought because it looked a bit sepia toned and with the old things I thought maybe it worked. I appreciate you stopping by and I like your critiques. This isn't on Ebay but if you're interested in it email me at barbarapask@zoomtown.com Thanks, Barb

Old Brown Jug. Oil 8 X 10
Hello, I set this still life up with a old antique jug, sunflowers and a couple of pears. I really love the way the pears came out. After painting seriously for a while now I feel I do pretty good setting up an item and painting it realistically. I've been giving a lot of thought as to whether I'm painting an interesting painting though. I think I tend to paint everything in my painting with the same degree of detail. I think I need to start thinking more about my center of interest, loosen up on the other things and add more detail and color contrast into that one item. Any thoughts? Thanks, Barb
