Hello, I painted this a couple of nights ago for Karin Jurick's blog, Different strokes for different folks. It is oil on a 8 X 10 canvas panel, took about 1 1/2 hrs. When I saw it posted on her site, I thought wow, it looks so washed out and gray. So I have to admit I went back and brightened it up a bit, working alla prima has it's advantages and disadvantages. I think sometimes I over blend when I work in one session, you can turn oils into mud if you aren't careful. Have a great day!
