Hello there, I painted this one last week from a set up. Tried to keep things dark and have the sunflower on the right catch most of the light. Oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas. I met
Debra Bryant today while on vacation in Florida, she is a wonderful artist and although I felt I already knew her it was great to meet her in person. I have made so many wonderful online artist friends, I wish I could meet them all. Thank you Debra for your hospitality and of course the rum balls, yum!

Barbara...this is wonderful work. Love the way you meld your focus into the background. Well done!
Thank you very much Marilyn! "Speechless" I love it!
Thanks Lokelani. I do try to meld it into the background, glad it reads that way.
Love how you've caught the light on the petals of the sunflower Barb. And the glazed feeling to the vase.
Thank you so much Laura! I'm very please with this too.
Barbara, this is absolutely beautiful! Love how the light grabs your attention, then subtlely recedes to the dark background. Wonderful!
Thank you so much Sunny! Great to see you too.
These still life studies are really great Barbara - love the greens you've achieved in this and that sunflower reflects the light perfectly.
I really like the light on this, Barb! Nicely done!!
