Pink Blooms
Hello, We are just back from a vacation to Florida, so great to get away from the cold for a bit. I had thought going down that I would do some plein air painting but instead I painted inside a few times. It sounds wonderful to paint on the beach but the reality of it is lots of sand everywhere, wind and sun so I wimped out, lol.
I painted this down there from a pretty silk arrangement that was in the place where we stayed, kind of hard to set up without my screen and light but I had fun. Oil on a 8 X 10 Raymar panel.
I took some good reference photos and will probably be painting some of those soon.
Back to cold snowy Ohio but good to be home. Happy Painting!

Love how the pinks just have a glow emanating from them. Too bad ya had to come back from beach weather to cold weather, eh?! Oh to be a snow bird!
Thank you Laura, I added a lot of texture to the flower on the right hoping that would be the focal point.
This is lovely, the texture works well. Nice colors, complements.
Thank you Jo. I love pink and greens together especially gray greens.
Hi Barbara, these look so delicate like silk should be. So nice of you to stop by my blog earlier. Enjoy your day.
Hi Carol, Thank you, nice to have you visit here too. :)
Thanks for visiting my site, Barb. Been so busy painting, really haven't had time to work on it much... BUT I did put a painting up last nite!
Rminds me of the little wild lavendar aster flowers that come up in our fields in late summer. Very nice, Barbara! I love the style you have been doing lately :)
Thank you Sunny. I'm so glad you like the change, I find them much more appealing and I love painting them.
