Crab Apple Blooms
Hello there, Spring is here and I love it! We have a Crab Apple tree in our yard and it is a bit ugly and gnarly but it produces these beautiful pink blooms. I put my hubby on a ladder and had him snip a limb for me. I put them in this little pink vase to keep them alive and decided to include the vase in the painting. I used a palette knife to create texture and I am including a close up so you can see that. This is oil on a 8 x 10 canvas.
Check out some of my paintings on Ebay, still cleaning out the studio and offering unframed canvases at a great price.
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Spring day!

Fantastic texture and yet you captured a delicate light touch with it. Gorgeous.
Thanks so much Nora and thank you for taking time to comment!
Oooh, pretty! So many tiny petals and details and you've done a beautiful job here without over working or having too many sharp edges, soooo lovely!!
Thank you very much Diane, I enjoyed adding details with a palette knife. So glad you like it!
