Visit with Santa-re-worked

Hello,  After I posted this last time I just didn't like the way the little boy looked.  So as you can see I painted over his face.   His face was too long and I just didn't like his smug little look, lol.  So I think it's better,  hope you do too.  Hope your Christmas chores are going well.

I think you should paint him one more time - this time looking at Santa. This makes one admire illustrators showing human interaction. How do you have the boy look at Santa, and vis versa but get interesting views of both heads.

Anyway you have made me Festive - (there is that F word again).

That is just too much to have to think about, lol. But you are right I should consider all of that, maybe one day. Hey! Don't be showing up at my blog throwing that F word around, lol.

I actually like the first one a little better. There is more interaction between the boy and Santa. The second is a little more contrived. The painting might be a bit more accurate, but does not have the joy and freshness of the first. :)

The first one was painted from a reference photo but his hand was against his mouth and I took it out. The second try I was mostly thinking about just painting a cute child. It would be a much better painting if there was an interaction between them, should try it again, hmmm.
