Wow, Barbara! You just keep improving with each portrait you do. I really like this one!
Hi Dean, Thank you, love hearing that.
This is really fantastic Barbara. She is also very beautiful and you've got such a lovely softness to her face - so gentle.
Hi Liz, Thank you, thank you. I never had the chance to just stare at my sister for hours, it was a good experience. She is a beautiful woman, inside and out.
wow, Barb. You painted this with confidence. She is beautiful. That must have been a nice experience for you both.
Hi Dar, I appreciate that, I did enjoy painting this and it felt good. Sometimes it goes right, lol.
Nice painting and you have a beautiful sister.
So glad you like it Bill. She is beautiful isn't she? So nice to have a model too.
Just stunning, the painting and the woman! Your portraits are getting better with each one you do.It seems that you are seeing the tonal differences clearer, which gives more structure and so, more solidity. Sorry, sounds like a sermon. I particularly like the Practice piece.Lovely comment on my blog, thanks for that and your visit.Happy painting!
Well, thank you Sharon. I haven't been doing portraits long but I like it so much. I appreciate your supportive words.
Wow! She looks so much like you. I thought it was a self portrait until I read that it is your sister. Beautiful work, Barb!
Thank you Irene, you think she looks like me? What a nice complement.
