Two Plein air paintings

See, I did get outside this summer to paint, well a couple of times anyway. Fall is coming so maybe I will get to paint some of the fall colors. I painted the first one in the park behind where I live and the second when we were camping. They are both oil on 8 X 10 panels. The local festival was this past Sunday, I sold two paintings and I received a ribbon for an honorable mention. A good day and I have several paintings hanging there for the next month.

I enjoyed these plein air paintings so much. Reminds me of the years I lived on the river. Also the farm houses are a favorite subject of mine.

Thanks for stopping by to visit the Go Green. Your piece is nice and calming. I really have enjoyed the little kids shoes. They have a great personality. Pat Meyer

Hi Pat, Thank you very much, I really loved painting the children's shoes, something about tiny things.

Thank you so much Lee, that is sweet of you to say. I am a person that is at piece and maybe it shows in my work.

I think there is something to that idea of a work being imbued with the energy of the painter.
These pieces have a good sense of the light in the scene. Well done!
Congratulation on the sales and the award!
