Still life

Hi, I painted this still life Monday from a set up, I have been wanting to paint this for a while. I love painting white and I wanted the focus to be on the green apples. This is oil on a 8 X 10 Raymar panel. Have a good weekend, starting to look and feel like fall here.

Hi Mark, They are granny smiths, love the color of them. You heading out to plein air paint? I need to do more of that.

Isn't it interesting that when you're painting white... your painting all sorts of color to get form??
Love those sunflowers in the next post too.

Thank Marian, So true, think that is why I love paintings with white in them.

Very nice vase Barbara! And having just painted some apples I can appreciate how nicely these are done.

I'm glad you like them Bill, I love green apples. I was trying to keep this painterly and loose. I'll be by to check your apples out.
