Gorman's farm

Hello there, I painted this last weekend while sitting at the art fair. This farm once belonged to the Gormans and I believe it was donated to the city of Sharonville, Ohio. They have wonderful programs for children there and beautiful gardens. This is the old original house and there are other barns and out buildings still on the property.

I really tried to leave soft edges on this one so it was very painterly, this is oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas.

I am looking forward to a fun weekend, my Monday group didn't get together last Monday because of the weather so some of us are meeting tomorrow morning. Saturday I am taking Susan Carlin's online workshop, we are painting a still life and I just know it will be great. She is very concerned about giving us a great workshop, she already recorded a lot of information for us to review even before the workshop begins.

I hope you have a great weekend too. :)

Thank you so much Josh, love painting something that someone can connect to. Thank you for the award too, I'll check it out. <3

I like the way you paint houses/farm buildings with the grasses and trees. They give a feeling of serenity.
