Tea Time

Hello there, I painted this last week from a set up. I typically keep it simple when I paint a still life but I wanted to do something a little more complicated. This is oil on a 11 x 14 stretched canvas. I think it is finished but I may go back in for a few more touches.

The opening for "The Kiss" is Saturday night, I'll take some photos to share with you.

Susan Carlin is offering an online workshop on February 20th, we will be painting a still life with two critiques. I will be taking it, looking forward to it. Susan is an excellent painter if you aren't familiar with her work there is a link to her here on my page. I have taken several online workshops and it was a great experience.

Hi Barbara, what makes this still life different is that it really says HOME! I can smell the tea. What alovely scene with a few fresh flowers in a coloured bottle...it looks so welcoming!

You say such sweet things Marie, thank you very much.

This is more complex than the norm, Barbara...and you have handled it very well! I like the accent of the small purple flowers among the large yellow ones.
