Peonies

Hello there, I managed to paint some of my peonies before they were gone. I just love them but they don't last long enough, what flower does. I used a palette knife to create some nice texture in the bloom. This is oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas.

I have a busy weekend, I took on a commission for a house painting that has to be finished in like a week, ahhh.

Enjoy your weekend, I will because I'll be painting :)

Beautiful painting! I love the texture you created in the bloom. And the colors in the vase are beautiful! Good luck with your comission :)

Very nice, Barb! You caught the essence of the peonies, which is no easy task.

Hi there Dar, Nice to see you. Peonies are a complicated flower aren't they, I tried to squint and keep it simple. I'm glad you think it reads right.
