Tuckers Whippy Dip- plein air

Hi there, This painting was done on site, two very hot evenings across from the whippy dip. Tuckers is one of the most popular places around, they serve fantastic soft serve ice cream. Such a cute little place with bright trim and I love the umbrellas. The blue and white building to the left is the car wash. This is oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas.

Looks like a "cool" place to hang out, Barbara. Nicely done.

Thanks Carol, it is a busy little place. It was hard to paint with all the activity, cars going in and out constantly.

The colors will attract the crowds, and they also lead to a very happy painting, Barbara!

Thanks so much Marie, I know those colors made me want to paint it.

Thank you Liz, it is a cheery place isn't it?

Very nice, and, unlike me, you stuck it out in the heat. I run indoors at the slightest discomfort.

How many whippy dips, and/or soft serves did this painting require?

I really hate the heat too and the extreme cold but I have tried to be tough this year and get out there. I didn't eat any soft serves while painting but I went back and made up for it, yum.
