Crepe Myrtles in Williamsburg

Hello there, a few weeks ago my daughter grandson and I went to Williamsburg Va. for a few days. It was so lovely there, crepe myrtles were in bloom everywhere. This is the first painting I did from some of my reference photos and I will be painting others. This is oil on a 8 X 10 stretched canvas.

Thank you so much Carol, we had such a nice time. Williamsburg is so beautiful, I love that time period. The costumes and the buildings were so lovely.

Once again the softness of your style gives the painting an antique and timeless feeling, Barbara! It is a lovely place, warm and friendly and I am sure the rest of your paintings will be very pleasant too!

You are so sweet Marie, I love your comments. I have painted another one of these sweet colonial homes, glad you think my style works well with the subject.
