Silver & Apples

Hi, I painted this last week from a set up of a silver pitcher and apples. Part way through I almost wiped it off but I pushed on and I am very pleased with it. Every once in a while you paint one and say to yourself "I love it"! and I love this, lol. This is oil on a 8 x 10 Raymar panel. I am wondering if a silver frame would look best on it, hmmm. I have painted several of these dark dramatic still lifes lately and when I look at them I find them very appealing, hope you do too. Have a great day!

Hi there Laura, Thank you. Whenever I look back at older work I think I could do better now. I guess it's a good thing if we are never satisfied.

Well hi there Anita. Those are wonderful words to read, we struggle along trying hard to make progress as artists and it's so great when someone says they can see it!

I love apples and love red. This reinforces my choice. Very lovely. I think a silver frame would be nice.

Hi Jo. Thank you very much, I think you are probably right about the frame. :)

It is a wonderful piece, no wonder you like it. And, you don't need salt for these apples.

Hi Bill, Thank you! No salt with the red apples? Does it sweeten up the tart ones?
