Wine Bottles

Hi! I'm a happy girl tonight, I got accepted into the Women's Art Club show. The opening is Sunday and it will hang for a month, stop by if you are in Cincinnati. They accepted "A Painting in a Painting..."

I painted this Monday from a set up. You would think looking at this that I am a wine drinker but not at all. I just found the bottles very interesting, like jewels. They are gorgeous colors and so reflective and I will try them again soon. This is oil on a 8 x 10 canvas.

Check out some of my paintings on Ebay~ I have many unframed canvases on there at a great price.

Have a wonderful day! SOLD

Les bouteilles de vin sont des bijoux et les bouteilles que vous avez magnifiquement peintes sont des joyaux exceptionnels...
Un très beau trio de couleurs et d'élégance.
Je vous félicite pour votre agrément...
Gros bisous à vous

Thank you so much Martine, I felt they were like jewels or gems also. Hugs to you

Thank you Pattie! I was so pleased to be accepted, I know we shouldn't take it personal when we don't get into shows but it does hurt a bit. I think wine bottles can be a bit difficult too Pattie, thanks for recognizing that, I'll have to try them again, see if I can improve.

You did an amazing job with these bottles, Barbara! and of course CONGRATULATIONS on your painting being accepted in the art club show! I went back to your older posts to see the painting and I always loved that one...only wish I was in your area to see it..

Well done Barbara! And may you have great success at the show. Love these bottles. Can't believe you don't drink wine - come and visit us in Cape Town - it's almost obligatory with the winelands on our doorstep!

Barb,
Great subject matter! :) Great painting too! I've seen a number of wine still lifes lately, so I plan to try one soon myself.

Hi there Liz, Nice to see you. I guess I just don't have refined taste buds, lol

Hi Ann, These are the first wine bottles I have painted, have to admit they were a bit challenging but so fun to paint. I almost added some grapes, maybe next time.

Ooops, that was me too, Mason Area Painters.
