A New Home

Hi there, I have worked on this one for a while and it's finished and varnished. I took it for a critique with my group because I felt it needed something other than just the bird, nest and branch. They suggested the addition of buds and I think that made it feel just right. This is acrylic on a 8" X 10" stretched canvas. I had a busy day yesterday. I painted plein air in the morning and painted last night at a local gallery. Then I came home and painted some more, lol. Do you think that maybe I like to paint? lol I have always joked that if I couldn't paint with my hands I would paint with my feet, and I would. Check out some of my Ebay auctions , lots of paintings reduced. Thanks for visiting me and please take time to comment. Hugs

Thanks Miss Hilda, critiques are great. Sometimes we are so close to it we don't see everything do we?

Love this one Barb! What a perfect palette for your sweet little bird! Great job with the nest too! I have a robin's nest here beside me in the studio and am going to get to work! You have inspired me!

It's really wonderful, great composition and use of color. And the buds just add to the sense of Spring's renewal. Thanks for sharing it with us.
