Pears ~ mixed media
Hi there, This painting is a mixed media piece. I started with patterned acid free paper which I proceeded to cover up, lol I added the pears and then felt it needed something else and completed it with the stenciled pattern. I am going to frame it in a copper frame and there are copper touches in the pears. This is painted on a 11" x 14" stretched canvas.
This Saturday I will be in Waynesville Ohio painting in a plein air event assuming we don't get rained out. Saturday night is Second Saturday at Gallery 42 also from 5-9. I'll be there too if I have any energy left. Gallery 42 is in Mason Ohio, stop by.
Have a good day!

Beautiful pears, Barbara....and the
background completes the painting!
Wonderful work!!!
Ah thank you Hilda. Always so supportive and always the first to comment. Thank you!
I REALLY like what you are doing - This piece is rich - beautiful!
Thank you very much Rosemary. I have tried so many different things lately, nice to have confirmation and people may be enjoying them. Great as always to see you Rosemary.
"Pears" is a delicate and successful balance of quiet energy, organic sensuality, and linear respectability all suffused with a golden light of exotic origin.
To my eyes, this seems to be a breakthrough piece for you. Wow!
What a beautiful way to describe my painting and to read the words "breakthrough piece" is just heartwarming. I find this journey in art to be so many things and sometimes very discouraging so it is great to read that this piece touched you. I just keep going no matter what, good days and bad.
What a neat idea! I bet the copper up against those pears and that yellow in the paper looks great!
Thank you Pattie, Great to see you
