Demo at co-op
Hi there, Last night was Third Thursday at the Artist Lounge, the new co-op here in town that I display in. We take turns each month demonstrating and last night was my turn. I set up a still life with a blue and white pitcher and fresh fruit. I set it up in a box with a light on it, trying to block light coming in from everywhere. Always makes me a bit nervous to paint in front of a crowd but I enjoyed it. I did end up taking out a couple of the oranges toward the end, it felt too busy. I am looking at it today and I may do a little more work on it. It is oil on a 11" x 14" canvas.

The oranges look so realistic Barbara! Nice work.
LOVE the post!
Oh thank you Hilda!
Thank you Sue!
Hello Barbara, Found you from your comment on Qiang Huang's blog. Love your style...and especially like the palette knife work and your recent painting of the silver pot. Congratulations on your award...what fun! You have inspired me to start a blog of my own! Linda from Tucson
Hi there Linda! Thanks for your kind words. I'll be over to visit. Please stop by here again too.
So super that you show us photos of more than just the paintings! Looks like you were having a super time and the painting is beautiful. I can almost taste the juicy oranges!
Thanks Rosemary, I tweaked it a bit since then, hard to leave them alone, lol. Great to see you.
