Hello there, I painted this bird nest first on one of my 5 x 5 gallery canvases with the 1 1/2" deep edge and then painted it again on a 5 x 7 panel and framed it. A friend took this photo this spring, when mommy robin flew away she quickly took the photo. She posted it on facebook and I said "looks like a painting, can I"? So, thanks Meredith. I used my palette knife to create some nice texture in both paintings. They are available if you are interested contact me at barbarapask@zoomtown.com.

Lovely, Barbara. I have one that looks almost exact except for the fact it only has two Robin's eggs. The nest is empty now as a preditor got into it one night. I was looking forward to seeing those babies fly.
Love the 2 paintings and all the colours you incorporated in the nest, like the frame you chose it's perfect.
Hi Carol, Glad you like it. Nature is so cruel. I know that is the way but I get very protective if I have a bird nest or a nest of bunnies in the lawn.
Thanks so much Diana, I did try to put a variety of colors in there to make it interesting. Glad you like my frame, I thought it worked well too. :)
Lovely brushwork, Barbara. The feeling of depth is perfect.
Beautiful nests Barbara! Lovely bright colors :)
Thank you very much Marie, I used a palette knife for the eggs to create texture.
Thanks so much Crystal, tried to make the nests interesting.
Like the composition in the 5x7 size! But I bet people will like to put the 5x5's on a shelf to look at every day.
Thanks Don, I think someone needs both, lol. Glad you like them.
New viewer here.... I love these bird nests!
Thanks Sunny, I enjoyed painting them using a palette knife to create that texture I love.
