Two more acrylics
Hello there, Well here are 2 more acrylics, still really enjoying them. I actually painted outside with them yesterday. A friend suggested putting a few layers of wet paper towel in foil and putting my acrylics on that, you can fold the foil up around them when you are finished. That worked pretty well, they didn't dry out. Much as I love oils you have to be careful not to muddy your colors by over blending, you do not have that issue with acrylics. Well we will see where this adventure takes me.
The first painting is on a 8 x 10 canvas and I really like it. The second is painted on a 6 x 6, 1 1/2" deep canvas.
Check out some of my paintings on Ebay and have a wonderful day!

These two paintings are really nice, Barbara. It looks like you and acrylics are definite friends. I love the softness of the paintings and the vase is painted beautifully.
Well not sure how friendly we are yet but I sure am enjoying it. So glad you find them nice to look at. Thank you for visiting and commenting Hilda. <3
Beautiful Barbara. I really do love the lightness of color you are getting with the acrylics. I have one of those stay wet palette's for when I paint with acrylics that made my life much easier. The paint stays wet for a really long time and when you put the lid on it stays wet for about a week without having to throw away any paint!
Thank you Crystal! I will probably buy a stay wet palette because I am loving playing around with acrylics lately. I used them as I said a long time ago but I have a lot of painting hours in since then and I am painting differently with them now days and there are things about them I am really liking.
Des fleurs pour m'enchanter aujourd'hui... rien de mieux. Des nuances de couleurs particulièrement belles.
Gros bisous
Merci Martine, j'aime le rose. Heureux de vous voir. I used the translator to do this, fun.
Soft and almost abstract!
Thanks Marie, I like that abstract feel about it.
love them both Barb. your soft colors are beautiful. I use a sta-wet palette also and I spray the paint with a spray bottle every hour or so.
Thanks Sharon, I have a Masterson palette box and I may buy a sponge for it. Years ago when I was using acrylics I did use a mister, painting outside with them was challenging. Need to find a little mister that sprays a really fine mist, did you order yours someplace?
