Sunflowers & Copper

Hi There! I used an old copper container for this still life, don't know what it was used for. I added sunflowers and a little glass dish that I have. I thought the blue looked great with the sunflowers. I'm really working on light and shadows. To me an interesting painting has great light and shadows. I love the still lifes where things fade into the shadows, I'm working on that. Hope you enjoy it and please let me know what you think. Thanks so much, Barb

Barbie, this looks a very nice painting and I do love your still lives. I would like to see a new pic of this one though because I have a feeling that the top left hand corner is "darker" in the real painting than it shows here (which I think would look fantastic). Maybe it is the angle of the camera?

Hi Sheila, Thank you for your comments. I photographed this outside setting on a table face up so it is darker than it looks here. Soooo that's good, right? I really love your still lifes and respect your opinion. Thanks so much, Barb
