Second Portrait I've painted

Hi, Thought I'd show you what I've been up to. This is the second portrait I've ever painted, the first was myself looking in a mirror. This is my mother, I painted it from a photograph of her. She's been gone about three years now and of course I still miss here terribly. I never thought I'd paint portraits but it's been fun trying something new. Enjoy your day. Barb

Thank you Susan, That means a lot coming from you. My teacher says I need to try everything to find my niche, I hope I have a niche, lol. Barb

The eyes speak of everything good. Sensitive work Barb.

Thank you Dean, She was everything good. It was a bit hard to do, I had to just focus on the photo and try not to think it was Mom.

pretty fabulous. you must be proud of this one. Your Mom was a beauty; you show her with sparkling eyes and sparkling personality.

Thank you Dar, She was the nicest person I ever met. I'm glad you like it, she would have been flattered that I painted her.

Spend lots of time with your parents, sometimes we take time for granted. I lost my Mom when she was only 72 and my Dad at 69, too young.
