Paint the Town

Hi there, It was a busy week last week as you can imagine with Paint the Town. I painted 5 paintings in 5 days, some here at home and some on location. It was hot and rained some and on Friday the wind got under my plein air umbrella and took my french easel to the sidewalk. Things like that happen so quickly, my umbrella now looks like it belongs to an artist, red paint all over it. Oh well, it will be a funny memory. Eventually, haha. The wet paint sale wasn't extremely well attended but I did sell one of the paintings, I'm happy and enjoyed the week. This 8x10 painting was one I completed during the week, I painted most of it on location and then came home took out the palette knife and added lots of texture to it. I hope you had a good week.

Wanted to mention that the painting of the little girl on the fence was accepted into The Cincinnati Art Museum along with the painting "Sally's Pond" that I posted recently.

I am happy that you sold some paintings. What I thought was this: it is so good that people are so enterprising. If nobody organizes such an event, no works will be painted.
