Teapot & Pears

Hi there, A couple of weeks ago I was out shopping and hit a few antique stores, I came across a booth that was 40% off. I purchased this wonderful pot for about $7. I set up this still life last week and I think the pot came out really well, I wasn't sure I liked the teacup but it has grown on me a bit. It's oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas. Have a good day

Lovely composition, Barbara, and the tea cup is beautiful with it's gold trim to match the teapot.

Beautiful Barbara. I have a teapot very similar to that and someone pointed out that I should paint it!

And I'm holding thumbs for that lovely card being the chosen one!

Hi Carol, Thanks so much, I guess the bit of gold trim does work with the teapot. Glad you like it

Thank you Liz, you should get yours out and paint it too. I appreciate your support for the holiday card too, that would be great.

I can see why you wanted that teapot. It made a lovely painting

This is beautiful and warm - "feels" good (does that make sense?) - great job with the teapot! Love your card painting too!

The brass, porcelain and fruit makes a lovely grouping, very nostalgic in feeling, Barbara!

Thank you Fay, I am getting quite the collection of teapots but I do love them in paintings.

Thanks so much Rosemary, that sounds great "feels good". We all hope our paintings will touch someone don't we?

Thanks so much Marie, I just set up things I love, some set ups work and some don't. I do like running things off the canvas, glad you like it.
