Red Geraniums

Hello, I hope you are having a wonderful day! It's a bit cooler than normal here but the weekend is supposed to be great and I'm grateful for that.

I painted this from a set up, first time I have tried to paint this pot. The geraniums are silk, I paint from silk flowers a lot. Michael's Arts & Crafts has wonderful flowers and fantastic fake fruit. This is oil and this is one of the paintings I will be hanging in the studio for the month of October when I am the Featured Artist. The frame is from Dick Blick, their 3" plein air frame.

I have been trying to post better photos of my work, still struggling. I adjust settings and try to get it to the point that it is depicting my painting pretty close.

See you soon~thank you so much for stopping by

Love the warm tones in this and you depicted the flower pot very nicely. Do you have a macro setting on your camera? I use that for art work.

Oh and I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one who has been slack about posting!

Hi there Anita, great of you to visit and comment. "Macro" setting? I'll have to look for that. Glad you like this. :)
