So Sleepy- wip

Hi there, Sorry I haven't posted this week, it's been a busy week. My birthday was Wednesday and my sweet husband took me to the Cincinnati Art Museum for the day. We had lunch there and enjoyed ourselves, they had a special exhibition of dresses from the 20's. I had this idea it would be cool to paint them but I got yelled at for taking photos, lol. I seem to get in trouble there a lot. For some reason they don't want my nose buried in the paintings either, lol.

This painting is 11 x 14 and I have worked on it off and on for quite a while. The original image came from Wetcanvas but other than it having a little girl and teddy sitting on her bed you wouldn't recognize it. The little girl has changed at least 3 times along with a lot of other things. Now I am at that stage where I am studying it to decide if I am happy with it. Any suggestions?

Good of you to stop by

I remember this image. :) There's something so sweet about teddy bears and children...

Hi Debra, I'm surprised you recognize it. I agree I love children with their teddy bears. Remember that painting from Greenhouse a few years ago of that little girl with a whole pile of teddys, I loved that one.

This is very sweet and so reminiscent of how my sons loved their stuffed animals. Of course, there is nothing sweeter than a little girl with a teddy. I like the softness.

Thank you Mary, I changed the position of her head 3 times because I wanted it tell a story. Not the best photos once again, lol.
