Shades of White
Hi Friends, I purchased this little white glass bird a while back and thought it would be so nice to use it in a still life with other white objects. White is such fun to paint, as you can see there are warm and cool whites. I wanted to keep the hydrangeas white also but wanted touches of other colors so they wouldn't be boring. This is acrylic on a 11" x 14" stretched canvas.
Getting pretty excited, this next weekend is a workshop with Patti Mollica, there is a link to her blog on my blog list. The workshop is acrylic, using them in a loose style, should be fun.
Check out some of my Ebay auctions, reduced unframed paintings available.
Have a wonderful day.

beautiful Barbara!!! Love the whites!
It is absolutely gorgeous, Barbara! Yes, to answer your comment back to me on an earlier post, I think the acrylics become you! I hope you have as great a time at your workshop with Patti Mollica as I did, and I am looking forward to hearing your report...
Oh thank you so much Hilda, I loved the little bird too. Hopefully it reads right.
Thanks Maria, sure is fun to paint white. I cannot follow your link back to your page for some reason. hmm
Hi Meredith, Thank you, I think I am staying with acrylics, at least for now. Nice to meet another avid acrylic painter. I'll report back about Patti's workshop, I can't wait.
Une superbe composition...
Des nuances de blancs merveilleux.
j'aime cette petite touche de bleu qui se décline en reflets sur votre pot.
Une très belle oeuvre.
Je vous souhaite plein de bonheur à l'occasion de prochain cours.
