A bit more work

Hi,   I worked on my gal a bit more tonight.  I painted in her hair and worked on her dress some.  Trying hard to see the details in Sargeant's painting,  can't see much of her right hand and I think maybe she has a flower in her hand??? Maybe I'll go to work on the chair next,  still enjoying the process.  Thanks for stopping by

It is moving along nicely. Her left arm is looking good.

The skin tones are nice. And the different fabric textures read really well. I'll keep watching.

Barb, you are my hero for tackling such a daunting project. I am so familiar with Lady Agnew, she has lived on the walls of our house for years. (My wife bought a wonderful print back in 1979 when she saw the painting in an exhibit in England.)

Thank you Dar, glad you like my results up to now.

Thanks so much Bill. I wish I had the print, it is difficult to paint from the monitor. I like painting large like this and it's exciting painting one of Sargeants. I just love his work.

How much fun is that? Wow, 24 x 30 Break out the big brushes and big tubes of paint, huh? The fabric has lovely drapery. Can't wait to see more!
