Hi there, I shot this photo last summer of my grandson playing hopscotch. Well, maybe not playing but jumping around at Grandma's request so I could take a photograph. Don't know if I am spelling hopscotch correct, don't think I have ever had to write the word, hmmm. Anyway here he is, a very cute redhead if I say so myself. I tried to paint what I saw, the darks and the lights so it was an impressionistic view of him. It is in oil on a 8 X 10 canvas panel. Here is a photo of my new easel in my messy studio, it is a Pablo studio easel from Jerry's and so far I like it a lot. SOLD

That's the way to utilize resources. Was your grandson's fee a big hug? I am so envious of your easel. One day...when I sell a painting or two.
I would love to see you do the Jefferson DSFDF challenge. (I came here from Dean's blog)
and yes you spelled hopscotch correctly.
Hi Sheila, Thank you for stopping by, I get lots of hugs and love it. I should do the challenge and may, just so many things to paint.
Hi Barb,
I love the little guy! My daughter is a redhead and my little brother (also a redhead) looked a lot like your little grandson when he was small. I think your best paintings are the ones that are meaningful to you! BTW I love your new easel. I have a similar one (that I got at a yard sale). My studio is messier than yours. Paint on!
I always love it when you come by Anita, you say such encouraging words. I probably could have looked around and saved some money on my easel but I had to have it NOW. You know how that is, lol
Great job on the little red headed hopscotcher! Real nice easel!
I thought the nocturnal DSFDF would be rather easy and fast to do...NOT.
And it was really hard to photograph without reflections!
Looking forward to seeing yours.
Hi there Dean, I now know what you look like, kinda exactly like you said you would, lol. Glad you like my little hopsctocher and my easel. If you are back reading this I guess you see I did paint the challenge photo, you really did an excellent job on yours, it stood out.
He looks a little young for the game but I really like the design.
Thanks Bill, I liked the design too. Have to take another photo this summer maybe.
Barbara, I have really enjoyed catching up on all your new work. You always achieve such beautifully soft and gentle works of art!
I too have a red headed daughter, Scorpio too! I love her to bits!
I'm glad you took time to look around Carol and I appreciate you nice words. Redheads are special if I say so myself.
