Hi, I purchased this tea cup a while back at an antique store, so pretty. I got inspired to paint it after watching Jonathon Hardesty paint one on his livestream show. I started with the liquid in the cup first like he did and worked my way out from there. Not sure about this frame, just set it in there to show it framed. Fun to try a new technique, I would normally have sketched the whole thing out with paint and then painted all of it at once. I will be painting this cup again, it was fun. Enjoy your day!

Good afternoon,
The frame is elegant, and the painting is beautiful, of course.
Enjoy your day.
Barbara...such a beautiful, delicate looking cup and saucer. You have done a wonderful job rendering it.
Hi Barbara! That cup is beautiful! the handle looks so delicate. Really love it :)
Really came out nice. You could produce a great series with cups like this.
Hi Carol, Always appreciate your visits and I love your kind words.
Thank you Lokelani, It did have a lot of detail and I wanted to show that and yet keep it painterly, hopefully I accomplished that. So glad you like it.
Thank you very much Crystal, it is a beautiful cup isn't it? I really enjoyed painting it.
Thank you Bill, I will paint it again, so happy you like it. I wanted it to be all about the cup and saucer but next time I may crop it closer. I may need to collect a variety of teacups, hmmm.
Do love your tea cup and saucer, Barbara...nice composition and colors. Very delicate, too.
Thank you very much Candy, nice to see you too.
This is gorgeous Barbara! Delicate and beautiful.
Thanks Liz, just the kind of description I want to hear for this.
Such dainty porcelain, Barbara! And you have chosen the perfect frame for it. I wish I can paint online with Susan but the broadband here is very slow and ineffective. I love the portrait of the boy and the many shades used.
Hi Marie, So glad you like these two pieces. It would be great if you could join us for one of Susan's workshop but it would probably be aggravating with your slow connection.
