Hi, My husband and I went camping last week, one night but it was fun. It was a few days before the rush of Memorial weekend. Peaceful and quiet with no one near us. The next morning my husband fished and I painted this scene of the lake. Found a shady spot on the side of the restroom, lol. You have to do what you have to do, sacrifice for your art. I loved it really and completed most of this on site and then came home and tweeked it a bit. This is oil on a 8 x 10 stretched canvas.
Last night myself and some of my Monday painting group painted at a nursery near here, the nursery was having a "Ladies Night" for some of their best customers. The event was very nice with 250 confirmed to come. Half way through the rain started and wow did it, wind and lightening. What a shame but it was still very enjoyable and a bit terrifying, lol.
Off tonight to attend an event. I have art hanging in a model home along with several other local artists. The builder is having an open house to show off their new home and our art. Should be fun.

Lovely serene scene, Barbara. What a unique idea to display your art in a model home. You must have "connections."
Hi Carol, This is a pretty little lake, several not too far from our home. I'm excited about the model home, just finished so hopefully we will sell some art out of it.
Very soft and fresh, Barbara! I can feel the cool, cool water. You created a wonderful atmosphere!
Thank you very much Marie, the whole scene drew me in.
The camping sounded like fun and you have this beautiful little painting as a reminder! Great composition with beautiful color. You know I love those "sky holes" in the tree!!
Super job!
I appreciate that Rosemary and glad you like my "sky holes" lol. Visit again soon.
