Still life, watermelon

Hello, I painted this today. It's in oil on a 8 X 10 stretched canvas. I just love gray greens. Is it grey or gray, I think either one is ok. Stop by and visit me again soon. Thanks, Barb

Hi Barbara! I'm going to ease up this week on the "painting machine" act, I promise.
Your still life packs a color punch! Very nice.
You're no slouch on painting production, either, my friend.
I answered your "how to pack a wet painting" question on my post...

Hi Susan, Thank you, fun to paint melon. I try to paint a lot of small quick paintings rather than spending lots of time on larger ones. I think that's better practice. I never feel like I'm painting enough, hope that never changes though.

Hi Barb. Greys are great to experiment with. There are many beautiful variations. And what a great foil to play a few high chroma colors against. Love your painting.

Hi Dean, Glad you like it. I've always enjoyed Frank Gardner's blog about using grays.
