Landscape

Hi,  Just trying something new again,  isn't that what makes painting fun and interesting?  I  painted the canvas first with a layer of burnt sieanna  mixed with gesso.  After that dried I pre-mixed my colors and then laid them down trying not to cover up the color of the toned canvas.  I'm sure different colors on the toned canvas would make your painting have a different feel. A fun experiment and I think I like it.  It is oil on a 8 X 10 canvas panel.

It came out quite well although I think you could use some variation in your trees Barbara.

I don't love the stick trees either, that is how they were in the photo. No excuse, right? LOL

Hi Barb,

Sorry, I haven't visited in a while. You have been busy! Now I'm working on taxes! What fun!
(I didn't make much from my painting last year). I like the tinted ground. I find that it adds a lot to my work. I like this landscape. The trees don't bother me too much.

Hi Anita, I have missed your visits. For a change our taxes are done and mailed off :) Have to admit I already have messed with the stick trees, maybe I'll repost it at some point.
