Cornfields

Hello, It has been almost a week since I posted, long time for me. I spent this weekend at the Montgomery Woman's Antique & Art show, their 38th annual I believe. It was a fun weekend and I sold 7 paintings. This painting I did while sitting there and it sold on Sunday wet on the easel. So after it dries and I varnish and frame it I will be delivering it to a very nice young couple. This is oil on a 8 x 10 Raymar panel.

I painted again today with my Monday group called MAPS, Mason Area Painters. We meet inside on Monday mornings and another day outside during good weather. I am so lucky to paint with such a nice group of artists and if you don't paint with a group in your area you should start one, I'm just sayin, lol.

Please check out a few of my paintings on Ebay SOLD

Take care!

Oh how wonderful for you, Barbara. Must be exciting when a show goes well. I will be entering my first art show in August this year and am a bit nervous about being on display for all to see.

Hi Carol, Thank you, I feel honored that people want to live with my art. How exciting for you, enjoy it. Even if I don't sell I meet a lot of wonderful people and make a lot of contacts and I enjoy meeting other artists.

Love the softness and colors in this painting.Congrats on the sales!
I have been trying to get a painting group together in my area for some time and just recently found and joined an art guild in a near city. I am so looking forward to getting together with them!

Hi there Sunny, So glad you like it, I enjoyed painting it. I do a lot of still lifes but every now and then I just have to do a landscape. So happy you found a group, it is really wonderful. We're lucky.

This is so great for you Barb, that the show was such a success. I can see why the painting was sold off the easel... very inviting, the colors are marvelous. Reminds me of the cornfields of my youth down in SC.( without the rolling hill aspect of course!)

I did post to my blog yesterday with photos of my workshop painting in progress and finished. We sure missed you... but it was worth it to you to be where you were!

Hi Laura, Thank you so much, I love when I paint something that feels familiar to them. I'll be over to check out your painting, I am so glad you enjoyed the experience. Susan Carlin is one talented lady.
