Hubby's Favorite Boots

Hello, My husband and I have been married 31 years and the first gift I bought him was a pair of L.L.Bean boots. I asked one of his best friends for advice and he suggested the boots. He loves these boots and calls them his "beaners", they have been re-soled once and they have seen a lot of hunting miles. I painted these for a competition, a show of woman painting men, anything related to men. I thought this seemed like the perfect thing to paint, they sure make me think of my man. I painted this in acrylics on a 16" x 20" stretched canvas and had a ball painting them. I'm pretty pleased with them and they passed the hubby test, lol. Hope you enjoy seeing them. Have a great day and stop back again soon.

Thank you so much Hilda. You never know what you might enjoy painting until you give it a go. Heck I think I like most everything, lol

Thanks so much Maria. I sent a note to L.L.Bean to check them out, wonder if I will hear from them?

This came out GREAT Barb! They look "broken-in" and comfy! Nice work, as usual.

What a nice painting - fun story too! I love the greens and greys on the toe parts. I remember when these boots first came out on the market - or there abouts..time sure flies!

Hi Pattie, Thanks! I tried to make the toes interesting, glad you see all those colors in there.
